Having that sense of belonging is so important! In my current work for the Youth Justice Service, I see the devastating result of not having that sense of belonging in school and finding it elsewhere.
To foster a sense of belonging in my last specialist setting we put aside time to play games as a class, complete a class puzzle and create a class comic!
You’ve reminded me what is most important as I start back to school after an unexpectedly long holiday break. Monday, belonging will be the priority of the day! Thank you
